Got questions?

We’ve taken some of the most asked questions by our customers and put the answers below.Hopefully our website is so easy to use and the magazines are described well enough that you don’t really need to check here!If you want to know more about postage rates across the world, we’ve a more detailed shipping page that will probably help.

YES!   Security is very important to us, as it should be. In fact as we pass you to PayPal to take your payment details, we don’t actually see or store any of those details, BUT better safe than sorry we say, so the entire site is encrypted and protected for your total protection, you should see a ‘padlock’ by your browser bar to indicate the site is using https / SSL encryption. That means when you login to your account, or register your name and e-mail, we encrypt those with industry standard protection. The site is also protected by several layers of security protection, to ensure the few personal details we do ask for are locked away safe.

We recommend checking your local customs/import regulations for more information about VAT or taxes on imported products. If you live in the EU, VAT and a customs fee will be due on most items imported from outside the EU, including our magazines.

  • Orders are sent through to the warehouse at 11am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
  • Any orders made after 11am on Friday will be posted the following Monday – unless it’s a bank holiday.
  • Orders placed on a bank holiday will be posted the next working day. There may be short delays at peak periods.
We use Royal Mail 2nd class post within the UK, which usually means that most orders will arrive within two to six working days.

For postage abroad, magazines usually arrive within three to eight working days in Europe and six to ten days worldwide. However, due to recent changes to EU VAT regulations, there have been some delays to deliveries within the EU. If your parcel is picked up by customs because VAT is due, it may take up to two to three months for your parcel to reach you.

Bank holidays and peak post periods, such as Christmas, may add a few extra days on to delivery times.

Please note that these estimates are based on Royal Mail estimated delivery speeds and can vary. We therefore cannot guarantee these delivery times and do not offer tracking.

Yes of course, this website runs 24/7.  Unfortunately we are only human, so do not.  Any orders made after 11am on Friday and over the weekend will be posted out the next working day.

Magazines are a VAT exempt product in the UK, so the price you see has no VAT (sales tax) element.

As we work directly on behalf of the publishers, we receive the future schedule for their magazines. Mags Direct’s parent company, Frontline, is responsible for having the issues physically printed and then distributed for them, so we always know when the issues will be available.

Thus we can ensure YOU receive your copy as close to on-sale date as possible, in some cases, possibly early! As we control the stock, at certain times we will put certain special issues on pre-order, as we KNOW we will be obtaining the stock to be able to meet all orders.

Unfortunately, yes, that’s a limitation of our shopping system currently. This way standard orders go out next day, and pre-orders will be posted when they are available.

Yes!  We stock back issues for most of our magazines until we sell out. Just search for a magazine and we will display all back issues we have in stock.

We sell our magazines to you at their printed “cover price”, exactly as you would pay in a physical shop.  How can we do that?  Easy; there is no middle-man.We actually have the magazines printed for the publishers, so we can ensure copies of your favourite magazines are printed especially for us to sell.  No other online service can match that!

We do now work with publishers outside our ‘partner’ publishers, and are keen to add more titles and publishers to enable us to offer a ‘complete’ offering.  Please note: we do not sell magazines in the adult category.  Get in touch: contact@magsdirect.co.uk

These are from exactly the same print run as those you will find in any newsagent or supermarket, and include any cover-mounted gifts. The only difference may be any shop specific packaging (such as Tesco branded plastic wrapping) which we do not include.

Absolutely not!  All bookazines / magazines are brand new and come direct from the publishers themselves. You are the first person to read them, guaranteed!
